Stylist tips
During the cold season, it's easy to get lost in down jackets and oversized clothes. But winter outfits can be warm and varied. In this article, we discuss why we repeat the same outfits, what mistakes to avoid, and how to restore style with silhouettes, textures, and accessories. We also provide several ready-made formulas that always work.

In most cases, during the cold season, we hide in oversized coats or down jackets, forgetting about individuality in style until spring.
Psychologically, as the temperature drops, we seek warmth, safety, and comfort, finding them in voluminous, tried-and-true silhouettes. And we arrive at a comfortable but uninteresting formula: minimum options — maximum repetition. Let's figure out how to avoid this and stay comfortable without forgetting about personal style, based on a few points. Let's start with why this happens.
• One type of silhouette, and therefore one type of look: always a straight coat or always an oversized coat. • Fear of experimenting with textures, even though they enrich winter wardrobes. • Ignoring accessories — a powerful tool for creating interesting outfits.
Now let's take the opposite approach. What can you rely on to build an interesting, warm, and comfortable look?
When choosing several items of outerwear, don't duplicate the same type of options; it's better to play with contrasts. In particular, the Gettstyle marketplace offers straight and fitted coats, parkas, shirt jackets, bombers, cropped jackets, and fur coats.
Voluminous options and combinations of several textures add extra points to each outfit. In a winter wardrobe, these include: wool with a pronounced “grain,” smooth wool, artificial and natural fur (short, sheared, plush), nylon and technical fabrics for down jackets, suede/eco-leather/leather, and knitwear. As with silhouettes, don't settle for just one option when choosing several pieces of outerwear, and expand the range of textures with accessories.
Don't forget that there are other colors besides black and brown, which has been so popular in recent years. Expand your base and experiment. For a safe option, you can choose one piece of outerwear in familiar conservative shades (black, graphite, brown, dark blue), and the second — an alternative: milky white or trendy olive.
When putting together your wardrobe, it is also worth considering different lengths — they are responsible for the proportions of your look. Maxi coats and bomber jackets can be a good match for different outfits.
Build your own collection of accessories: from basic beanies to trendy hats. Hats, scarves, and gloves give you individuality and add new texture. There are more than enough options available now.
And don't be afraid to layer your outerwear — at least promise yourself you'll try. Maybe that's where your style vector lies? Safe options to start with: coat + thin down jacket or vest; trench coat + oversized leather jacket.
Formula 1: Minimum effort, maximum effect
Coat + scarf + accent gloves + structured bag.

Formula 2: Stylish cold everyday wear
Parka + balaclava + denim.

Formula 3: Short top + long bottom
Short fur coat/bomber jacket + maxi skirt or wide-leg pants.

Formula 4: Texture play
Technical down jacket + voluminous knitted scarf + suede/leather accents.

The language of winter looks is silhouette, texture, and details. As soon as one of these parameters changes, the looks cease to be monotonous.
